Randy Saw Talent, Supported It, and Gave Anthony Room to Rise…

When I first met Anthony, he had been moved around several times within a two-year period. He was navigating a lot of corporate political maneuvering, and because of that, he never really had the chance to get a solid foothold or show the full range of what he could do.

But the talent was obvious.

Anthony was the person who helped coordinate what would become some of the most engaging and highly participated events at corporate headquarters. He had a rare ability to bring people together. He demonstrated strong coordination, planning, execution, and follow-through. But what stood out most was his creativity, curiosity, and critical thinking.

Anthony was the kind of person who would spend his weekends testing an idea, exploring a concept, or pressure-testing a hypothesis, then come back to work with insight, analysis, and a point of view. He was not just trying to do the job in front of him. He was trying to understand the business, sharpen his thinking, and grow.

The problem was simple: he had not been given the opportunity he deserved.

Over time, we worked closely together. I provided guidance, advice, tools, and honest feedback. Anthony listened. More importantly, he acted. Even when it was uncomfortable, he leaned in and executed. He invested in training, built his network, practiced self-reflection, embraced honest feedback, stretched himself, learned how to negotiate, and kept pushing forward.

What I admire most is that Anthony did not wait for the perfect conditions to grow. He kept preparing himself until the right opportunity caught up with the work he had already put in.

He loves the QSR business, and today he is a Senior Marketing Manager. That did not happen by accident. It happened because he did the work, stayed committed, and kept becoming the leader he knew he could be.

Anthony is still young in his career, but he is now positioned to move into middle management and, in time, senior leadership. His story is a reminder that sometimes talent does not need to be created. It needs to be seen, supported, challenged, and given room to rise.

About The The Transformation Circle

You Don’t Have to Transform Alone

You’ve been doing the work. Reading the books. Listening to the podcasts. Journaling at 5 AM. And you’re making progress—but it’s slow, lonely, and sometimes you wonder if you’re even moving in the right direction. Here’s what you’re missing: other people on the same path. Transformation isn’t a solo sport. The breakthroughs happen faster, go deeper, and actually stick when you’re surrounded by people who get it—who are asking the same hard questions, fighting the same inner battles, and committed to becoming more.
